end suffering

Hi Dr. Forslund,

Thank you for the email. We really miss our Simba. I am thankful he is no longer suffering from his cancer. I would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know Simba before the procedure. I loved that and loved that we got to hold him as the procedure was done. You were very comforting after he was gone.

Thank you again!

Beau was surrounded by those who he loved and who loved him when it was time. Todd, our wonderful friend who would dog sit Beau when we would travel. Our amazing neighbor Teresa and her beautiful Golden Retriever “Riley” she was Beau’s girlfriend, were seated next to him, giving him love.  Dan and I held his head in our hands and we knew with his one deep breath that he was ready to leave and it was ok to let him go.

Although short lived, our life with Beau was perfect.  Dr. Forslund's prompt response when we needed her meant so much to us. Dr. Forslund approached our Beau with love, care and affection.  Her kind demeanor, gentleness and explanation of what was going to happen gave all of us a kind of peace that was so needed. The day after, Beau was gone, Dr. Forslund called us to see how we were doing and if there was anything we needed.  We have received amazing support from her since and we just want to say,
“Thank you”

So many people loved and feared Johnny over the years.  He was as welcoming as a dog when people he cared about would drive up to the house, but those same delighted people would often not dare to pet him.  Johnny was such a large and wonderful specimen of a cat.  At his peak, he weighed 17lbs.  Gracie and I would say “17lbs of joy!”

He lived a long life, though he was quite sick at the end.  Thanks to Dr.  Forslund, we felt at peace with his illness because we knew he wasn’t suffering and we knew she would advise us as to when he was ready to pass on.  He lived beyond what the vets thought possible, with her gentle hospice care.

One of our main concerns with our Pippin was in spite of his health challenges after his heart attack was that he would never suffer.

Dr. Forslund was truly an angel in our time of dire need.  She was amazingly kind in our time of need and gave us so much time to say goodbye to our boy.  She impressed me with her care, attention and love for our dog.  She made the passing much better than it could have been.  Thank the lord we were able to connect with her and be able to make a rough situation into something which we can remember as a peaceful and calm ending for a highly valued and loved family member.

Rest in peace Little Pippin...

Kathy and I chose not to have kids of our own.  Kodiak "Kodi" was our child.  I retired 8 years ago when Kodi came into my life.  We spent every minute of every single day together. This has been the best 8 years of my life!

When I spoke to you I knew just through a simple phone conversation that you were the person we needed during this tough time. You have a gift for what you do and a beautiful aura that I cannot exactly put into words.

Thank you so much for gracing my family with your beautiful spirit.

Much Love,

Chet & Kathy Ringwood

Tia joined our family when our sons were in middle and high school – long past the time when THEY wanted to sit on my lap or “help Daddy” as he puttered in the garage.  She made herself at home on any lap available and dispensed kisses with abandon.  We were devastated to lose her to cancer at age 10, but enormously comforted that you made it possible for the end of her life to be so peaceful and loving.
Thank you for your empathy, kindness and compassion to us as well as to Tia.

I was so impressed by your compassion for the situation.  Once Chelan received the sedative, she looked straight into my eyes and licked my whole face, I told her over and over I loved her and she was a good girl.  She passed away in her favorite spot, with her family holding her and kissing her.  I would want to go the same way.  I couldn't have asked for a better way to go for my dog.  Thank you Dr. Forslund for making this unbearable time, peaceful for our precious Chelan.

Aspen was heartbroken when her lifelong friend/sister (not from the same mom)Chelan passed away November 3, 2009.   When our sweet dog Chelan passed we poured all of our heart and love into Aspen.
Our family feels so empty without our beautiful golden retrievers Chelan and Aspen.  But thanks to your service, the end was a peaceful way for them to leave this world.  You see Dr. Forslund knew Aspen, she was present when we had to euthanize Chelan.  She remembered her right away, and was greatly sympathetic.  I just have to say that this service is the most beautiful means of being able to deal with the death of your most beloved pet.
Sincerely,
The Mathes Family

Arthur-sMy vet was out of town when it became clear we had to say good-bye to Arthur, our 17 year old kitty who had been suffering from kidney failure for several years.  If a stranger was going to do it, I decided I wanted him to go in the comfort of familiar surroundings.  I found Dr Annie Forslund online and she was able to come that afternoon.  Dr. Forslund was sensitive, sympathetic and understanding.

Dr Forslund’s care didn’t end with Shelby’s passing.  She continued to care for Shelby right through picking the compassionate cremation service, as well as having Shelby’s cremains returned to us. We thank you so much for the kind treatment you showed to Shelby and our family in this difficult time!
