Dear Dr. Forslund,
We are doing a lot better. Thanks to the whole experience with you we all were able to cope well. We rescued Chloe as a young dog from death row and got to spend 11 1/2 beautiful years with her.  She experienced the beginning of our marriage, the birth of our children and she saw them grow big. Our kids learned compassion, strength and patience from her. She lived a full life and died of old age, before things got too ugly. I hope I get to do that.
Thanks again for making the experience the best it can be for what it is.

Maverick-sThank you so very much for your follow up and for the most beautiful experience one could ask for when saying goodbye to a dear, dear friend.  For 14 years he was my teenage boys' trusted pal and he LOVED them so much.  Last Halloween they even gave him a costume, complete with Groucho Marx eyebrows which he had up until the day he passed! (See photo.)

We miss him dearly but are thankful we found you to make his passing so peaceful. He fell asleep in the corner of the family room on his favorite bed, where he would lie in the sun for hours every day. He will always be with us, silly big guy!

YOU ARE THE BEST.  It’s a blessed service and you are an angel! Thank you again!

Hi Dr. Forslund,

Thank you for the email. We really miss our Simba. I am thankful he is no longer suffering from his cancer. I would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know Simba before the procedure. I loved that and loved that we got to hold him as the procedure was done. You were very comforting after he was gone.

Thank you again!

Dante, the little kitty that could. I adopted him at six weeks old. He and all his extra toes lead an amazingly long seventeen-year life. My "cat of little brains" was the most friendly, loving, sweet, dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks purr monster. My dim bulb has been the brightest light in my life.  Thank you for providing a compassionate, loving, low-stress, peaceful service to both the animals in your care and to the people who truly care for their fur babies as much as they would their own child. You are blessed with an amazing heart and I am so grateful to have had you come and care for Dante and me.

With light, love, peace, joy and gratitude,

In loving memory of Bandit, our baby giant. April 19th, 2004 to January 21st, 2013.

I would like to thank you and Todd for your kind words and the follow-up call I received. It is so nice to know I am understood and supported. Thank you for the kindness, patience and professionalism you showed my mother and me. You connected very well with Bandit and helped to calm his nerves. You helped make one of the most painful days of my life bearable.

Thank you, Dr. Forslund, for your professionalism and admirable capacity to love.

We did not euthanize Bogart.  He died of natural causes in our house and Home Pet Euthanasia helped us with his aftercare/cremation. Todd answered our call late at night with his calm and caring voice.  He then came out after midnight, was very empathetic and at the same time knew what to do.  The way he so carefully put our Bogart on a stretcher, tucked him in with its fabric and carried him from our home – well, Todd showed so much respect and compassion while demonstrating his experience and knowledge. Since we believe all life is receptive to love, we can’t help but think that Bogart knew Todd’s love along with ours.

Simon was born in my bedroom closet.  It's where he chose to take his daily catnaps.  When he became ill, he spent increasingly more time there.  One week before his 14th birthday, Dr. Forslund, my roommate and I gathered in the same closet to put him to rest.

Deciding whether it was the right time to let Simon go was a struggle for me.   Dr. Forslund spent much time helping me sort through my fears so that I would feel secure in my final decision.

Thank you, Dr. Forslund, for doing such a difficult and important job in such a loving and nurturing manner.  After our experience with you, we would never consider any other way.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Bear Bear would have been 14 in June.  He had a wonderful life. He loved sleeping on  the bed, licking your legs dry after a shower, chasing the gulls on the beach, sneaking away with Peanut for a run on the beach, sleeping and looking for your scraps.  On that day, you arrived with a demeanor of kindness and calm.  You granted us so much patience and calm.  I never felt rushed with you.  You sat at the end of the bed and were just there.  When I decided it was time, there were a few tears but I knew it was time.  Bear Bear also knew.  My husband was there and Bear Bear acknowledged him and then said good bye.  I held my hand over his heart with my eyes looking at him and said good bye.  He was so a peace, as was I.
I have to say, the entire process left me feeling calm; it was such a beautiful experience.  The follow up calls were so personal and real, just a genuine kindness and caring that I and my family were alright.  This is a very special time for you and your pet, do it right, achieve a peace of mind that is never questioned.

Katie and her 2 siblings were rescued by a Garden Grove mail carrier (someone was placing them in a trash can).  I was lucky enough to adopt my sweet girl.  Katie purred continually and sometimes put her paw across my neck in bed at night.  I miss her very much.  Thank you so much for your kind handling of my sweet baby Katie.  I received the death certificate, paw print, hair clipping, etc...  I am very pleased with your services and am so glad Katie was able to leave us peacefully in her home.

Dear Dr. Annie,
I really must thank you for all the amazing comfort you, Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California and Peaceful Paws have given us.  You all treated our beautiful Scottie, Dougal, with as much respect as I would hope someone would treat us when we pass on.  Letting a loved one go is so difficult, but you did it with so much empathy and gentleness.
We just received Dougal's ashes today from Peaceful Paws and the deliverer was so kind.  The presentation of our dog in the beautiful cedar box and pawprint is so beautiful.  The offer of grievance counseling is so generous.
I think when we look back on this experience, in time, we will see it all as very beautiful.  We feel very grateful to you for being there for us.
Sending thankful wishes,
Melanie, Sal and Louie Cracchiolo
