Chloe

Dear Dr. Forslund,
We are doing a lot better. Thanks to the whole experience with you we all were able to cope well. We rescued Chloe as a young dog from death row and got to spend 11 1/2 beautiful years with her.  She experienced the beginning of our marriage, the birth of our children and she saw them grow big. Our kids learned compassion, strength and patience from her. She lived a full life and died of old age, before things got too ugly. I hope I get to do that.
Thanks again for making the experience the best it can be for what it is.

Baby

Dear Dr. Forslund,
THANK YOU for coming to our home and for bringing peace to Baby. I really miss her. I have Baby’s ashes now with me, and her urn arrived just today. She will always be with us. Thanks again, Dr. Forslund, for making a difficult time easier to bear.

Best Regards,

Gidget

How do I find the words to describe how wonderful the staff are at Home Pet Euthanasia? Thank you for helping our family through a difficult time.
Gidget was adopted in 1999 at 2 1/2 years, and she passed last month. She lived a full life. She was the ring bearer at our wedding. She watched her little brother grow to be 9 years old. I promised her she would not die in a vet hospital--alone, cold and without her family.
After a tearful phone call to Dr Annie, who spent an hour on the phone explaining quality of life and how a dog thinks during this time, I realized Gidget was just being brave for us. The following day, after a great last meal, I told her Dr. Annie was coming. She watched the sunset, full and happy; she even followed the sun around the house before coming inside. She passed with all of us holding her. She seemed to truly be at peace and out of pain.
For us, she was a sister, mother and companion, who will always have a place of honor in our hearts.

Tawney

While I know we did the right thing for our sweet girl, it has left a huge hole in my heart. But I am so grateful that she was in our lives, and shared her sunshine and joy with us. She was my shining star, and when she could no longer go on her daily walks, chase (and never catch) squirrels, and play with the neighborhood children, we knew it was time. I am so grateful you were there to help her painlessly move on to the next phase of life. She deserved to be spared pain and distress, and it was so much better to be able to hold her in my arms...  I sincerely hope to be with her again someday.
Thanks for all you did for us and our Ms. Tawney.

Molly

Molly was loyal, lovable, and playful. She knew when it was appropriate to assume the role of a guard dog, and at the same time she was the most adorable and affectionate canine there ever was. Molly was a perfect companion to our family. She can never be replaced, and we will live on with the most beautiful memories of her and our times on earth together.
Dr. Forslund, I believe you perform a wonderful service for families that love and value the relationships they have developed over the years with their pets.  More importantly, you come across to me as someone who sincerely cares about the families and pets you service while performing your duties as a doctor.
Thank you for all you do to make these trying times a bit easier to manage.

Basil

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful bulldog, Baz, on March 28, 2013. We are grateful for the 10 years we had with him: he was a gift to us. He helped us through tough times simply by being himself--he was our "love dog" and a great friend. Dr. Forslund was very kind, and her calm, reassuring demeanor helped to give Baz a peaceful, painless passing at home in his favorite comfy chair, surrounded by love and gentle words. Truthfully, I couldn't hope for a better end for myself.

Thank you,

Maverick

Maverick-sThank you so very much for your follow up and for the most beautiful experience one could ask for when saying goodbye to a dear, dear friend.  For 14 years he was my teenage boys' trusted pal and he LOVED them so much.  Last Halloween they even gave him a costume, complete with Groucho Marx eyebrows which he had up until the day he passed! (See photo.)

We miss him dearly but are thankful we found you to make his passing so peaceful. He fell asleep in the corner of the family room on his favorite bed, where he would lie in the sun for hours every day. He will always be with us, silly big guy!

YOU ARE THE BEST.  It’s a blessed service and you are an angel! Thank you again!

Dallas

Dallas was rescued from a dog shelter by my daughter. She called us up to say she bought a dog that has the same color hair as her: red, brown, black, and blond! Dallas had a sweet face and demeanor, reddish-brown fur, a black face, and a circle of black around her tail, which waved in the air like a feather. As she aged, the tail got lower and lower, but it still wagged. She was my best friend. Dr. Forslund is an angel who came into our lives when we needed someone to help us with Dallas. She did not feel like a stranger to us.  She showed compassion to us both, petting and getting to know Dallas and comforting me. It was so comforting to see Dallas go in a very dignified way. Thank you, Dr. Forslund!

Zeta

My pretty little Zeta was an amazing kitty.  She was always very comforting to me and seemed to know when I had sad moments and would stay by my side.  By the end of her time here she had grown very sick but never once complained. Dr. Annie, you were amazing, gentle and very comforting during the entire process. I was able to hold her and give her the comfort of familiar surroundings and that is something that you cannot put a price on.

Cheena

ODE TO CHEENA
You were our constant, our cornerstone, making us laugh every day and when there were bad times, you gently reminded us with your big soulful eyes that we could do better, that we still had a lot more in us and we were bigger than our circumstances.
You have done your job well, my friend.
Your work is complete.
Go in peace our sweet Cheech.
