 Dear Dr. Forslund,
Thank you so very much for the courageous service you provide. Being a vet is hard enough, but going to someone’s home and helping a family get through something like this is beyond brave, and I commend you for it. I’m not sure I’d have the fortitude you showed last night as you held my hand while I bawled like a father losing a child. Words cannot express how grateful I am that Dolly was able to lie on my lap, eating turkey slices when you finally put her to sleep. She must have been so happy in her final moments, not scared at all like when she has to go to the vet’s office. I will be recommending you to anyone who is in similar circumstances, such that their pets may depart under the best possible circumstances.

 There are not enough words to convey my gratitude for the compassionate and professional manner in which Dr. Forslund attended to my dear Arrow on his last day. Arrow was my gift from God, my fur angel.When it was time for him to leave this earth I knew it couldn't be in a cold sterile environment where he would have been frightened and confused. Instead he was content in his own yard that he enjoyed so much, with the people who loved him by his side. Dr. Annie made the transition for Arrow and myself easier just by her caring presence.

 Our beautiful and beloved cat, Daffodil, passed away this fall. We are heartbroken and devastated to lose this amazing, funny, loving, faithful, handsome-as-all-getout angel. We were blessed to have him in our lives for 15 years. We know he is playing all sorts of silly games with the angels now, and we wish them luck because he always wins.
Your kind words and the sweetness with which you treated both us and Daffodil was so appreciated. And receiving Daffodil's ashes was made just a bit easier by the way the ashes were presented to us. The box is so beautiful and the paw print was deeply meaningful. I am also very grateful that you called soon after to offer the help of a grief counselor. Just the fact that you took the time to do that was comforting.

I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and support. And your calling yesterday just to check in meant so much to me. Nobody does that these days. Nobody! I really appreciate it.
I miss my boy terribly but have made peace with the situation. Though I do still look in familiar places for Udo and walk the yard often just to remember, and will probably continue to do so for some time. I know it was the right thing and am at peace with it.
