Dear Dr Forslund,

Thank you so much for your help with Shelby!

Shelby was a beautiful black lab with shiny eyes and a warm heart.  She was almost 14 years old and had lived with us all over the world. She had her good days and her bad days, but overall she just wanted to please people! Shelby had been ill off and on since Christmas.  She had a stroke late one night.  We consulted with our Vet and decided that it was best for Shelby to go to heaven.  Our Vet referred us to Dr Forslund (with tears from everyone).  Dr Forslund was very compassionate and professional.  I was amazed at the amount of detail she put into making the process as uncomplicated and painless as possible for all of us.  She made the ordeal a non-clinical but family oriented event.  Shelby passed in the comfort of our home with our family surrounding her. Because of how well it was handled, we remember Shelby's life and not her death.  We have lost other pets in the past, and by far this was a great help in the grieving process.

Dr Forslund’s care didn’t end with Shelby’s passing.  She continued to care for Shelby right through picking the compassionate cremation service, as well as having Shelby’s cremains returned to us. We thank you so much for the kind treatment you showed to Shelby and our family in this difficult time!

Dr Forslund, Thank you so much for the follow up call and the mail.  Wendy and I don’t know how you made it so special, but you did! We will never forget you or your kindness!

Matt and Wendy Pelletier,
Seal Beach
