The decision to euthanize Holly was one of the most difficult decisions of my entire life. I’m a vegetarian who sweeps ants into a dust pan and carries them outside. The thought of being in charge of another’s death was overwhelming to me, but it’s true that our animal companions let us know when they are “ready.” Calling on Dr. Forslund to assist my sweet girl home felt like divine intervention. It was as gentle, graceful, and as sweet as Holly was. I am eternally grateful.

I wanted to say thank you for being so kind to my family and especially to Carlee. It is nice to know there are people who can help make a difficult decision a bit easier...

From my point-of-view, there is nothing that prepares for the heartbreak which comes when you lose a beloved pet. The emotions become even more raw when you’re forced to contemplate putting your animal to sleep. As a former vet tech, I assisted in multiple euthanasias. When I knew that my dog Buddy did not have long to live on this earth, I told our veterinarian, Dr. Mark Malo, I didn’t have the heart to pack Buddy in the car and take him to the clinic one last time. I am so grateful that Dr. Malo referred me to Dr. Annie Forslund for in home euthanasia assistance.

 I wanted to write you a note expressing my gratitude.  I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your service. It comforts me so much to know that Raleigh went in peace in his own backyard. He deserves no less.  Raleigh hated the vet's office and we couldn't bear the thought of his last moments being in one of his least favorite places.  You really are a godsend and provide people and their loved ones with such a special service at SUCH a difficult time.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Shortly after our call, Dr. Forslund arrived and was very calming and empathetic about what we were going through. Beau is now walking on his own though sometimes he needs a trail of treats to motivate him. Dr. Annie called to check on Beau's progress. She shows a true devotion to the well being of our 'family members' and to their parents. She was an answer to our prayers and a God sent.

Sue died, at ease, in her own house, in her own bed, with her head in the hands of someone who loved her very, very much (we should all be so fortunate). There was no anxiety, no fear, no cold stainless steel. For this, I cannot thank Dr. Forslund enough.

When I am confronted with a similar circumstance in the future, I will call Dr. Forslund again.

We want to thank you so much for the sensitive and considerate way you and Michael conducted yourselves. You made one of the hardest things we have ever done as easy as it could have been. We count ourselves lucky that we found you.

I was so impressed by your compassion for the situation.  Once she received the sedative, she looked straight into my eyes and licked my whole face, I told her over and over I loved her and she was a good girl.  She passed away in her favorite spot, with her family holding her and kissing her.  I would want to go the same way.  I couldn't have asked for a better way to go for my dog.  Thank you Dr. Forslund for making this unbearable time, peaceful for our precious Chelan.
