The cremation process

Sometimes, clients can find it difficult to understand why it “takes so long” for them to get their pet’s ashes back.  It is important for staffs and doctors to understand the process so that you don’t feel confused or thrown off when a client asks this question.

For that reason, I have created a page on our website that describes each step of the pet’s journey from the time the euthanasia is complete to the time they receive their ashes.

A link to that article is in the FAQs section on the “return of ashes” form.  
We now also have an updated paper version of that form in case the paper form is ever needed.

Therefore, when a client asks you the question “Why does it take so long to get my pet’s ashes back?”, the correct answer is that there are multiple steps to this process and that the process is completely described on our website.   If you are a doctor, you can tell them to look on the copy of their documents in the FAQs on return of ashes section.  They will find a link to an article on our website that describes each step and how long each step takes.  If you are a CCS or Aftercare Staff, you can say the same thing but you can also email them the link for easy access so that they can read it immediately.

Please read that article (link included below) so that if they have specific questions, you can easily understand the process and answer the questions on the spot.  But don’t spend a lot of time explaining everything that is on the article because they can read it themselves which is why I created the article.
