JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION OF Client Care Specialist

Summary of Job:

As a Client Care Specialist you will be Primarily answering the phones and fielding calls from clients with pets that are at the end of their life, and are facing the difficult decision of having to put their pet to sleep. You will need to be able to help them through this difficult emotional time and get them scheduled correctly and the data communicated to the doctor that will be doing the house call.  Occasionally you will be called upon to help with tasks related to making the clients experience easier. 

Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California’s standards of employee skill, competence and teamwork are and shall remain among the highest in the field.  Thus, an employee holding this Job Title must possess or apply the following:

 Minimum Education: Must be fluent and Literate in English. Must be able to use arithmetic to a level to be able to perform the duties of the post. Must have a knowledge of the geographical area geographical that we service.

Minimum Experience: None needed

Required Skills: Must have good communication skills as determined by interview. Must be able to use the computers that the office uses and its programs to a sufficient degree to perform the required job tasks. Must be able to read a map or use a map program correctly. Must be able to rapidly assimilate new data and correctly put it to use.  Must be able to handle emotional clients expertly with compassion, respect while communicating clearly our policies in the manner outlined in the training materials.

Required Training: No special training is required in order to be hired. 

Essential functions of the above Position include the following:

Answer the Phones using the patter and techniques the company has developed.
Correctly Schedule house calls for the Doctors that work with us. 
Correctly handle any administrative paper work (on paper and electronically) that is associated with the position.
Occasionally will be called upon to assist at a clients location and in the workplace to lift and position deceased pets.
May be required to perform other administrative tasks as directed by the office manager that relate to the company performing its mission. 
Participate in keeping the work environment a neat and clean area including the common areas.
Will occasionally need to take a clients payment information over the phone. This must be handled correctly and be kept confidential.

In addition to the technical knowledge, experience and competence required of this Job Title, Company's employees must also possess problem-solving skills, intelligence, perseverance, orderliness, responsibility, drive toward and satisfaction at the attainment of goals, calmness and endurance under stressful conditions, consistency and predictability in the regular attendance to duty, individual initiative as well as participation in group efforts, correct estimation of specific circumstances, fairness, empathy, appreciation toward fellow workers, and effective communications skills. 

In keeping with these job requirements, Company may choose to utilize application forms, interview procedures and/or pre-employment non-medical, non-psychological testing regimens that will assist the Company to determine whether applicants can meet the Company's performance standards.  Applicants for the above Position may be required to undergo such screening procedures.
